Description

This physlet shows a cannon that will fire a bullet at different speeds , angles heights. In addition, it is possible to change the acceleration due to gravity and launch the bullet at a target that will move horizontally across the screen.

For our purposes we will set the cannon on the horizontal and launch bullets at different angles without using the target.

Set LAUNCH SPEED at 50 m/s .
Set LAUNCH ANGLE at 30 degrees.
Set GRAVITATIONAL FIELD at 9.8 N/Kg
Set GUN ALTITUDE at 0 m .
Set INITIAL TARGET POSITION at 0 m/s .
Set INITIAL TARGET VELOCITY at 0 m/s .
Set TARGET ACCELERATION at 0 m/s/s .

The LAUNCH ANGLE must be changed to 45 degrees and then 60 degrees (running the animation after each change) before answering the questions.

* Time is given in seconds.
* Up and right are positive, down and left are negative.
